After hip replacement surgery, I wanted a stool I could put in the bathroom that would allow me to sit while I shaved, brushed my teeth, etc., and this worked perfectly. It's also light enough that I can easily carry it to the den for guitar practice. It went together easily (NOTHING comes assmebled anymore!), The only negative was that it has little wooden buttons that can be inserted into the screw holes to cover them. The ones I got were too small, and wouldn't stay in place. Not a prime piece of furniture, but a very good value!
