I've had these stools for almost a year and, once I finally got them assembled, they have worked out just fine. They feel sturdy and stable, and the paint is holding up well. However, these were an absolute nightmare to assemble. It's nearly impossible to get the screw into place due to the awkward design. In addition, every single screw stripped and wouldn't fit into place. The screws included were so cheap that I had to buy all new screws at the hardware store. Plan on several hours of frustration, and a fair share of cursing, when assembling these.
